Starter Feats

At Level 1 you gain a feat of your choice from the Starter Feats list

Variant Ability

Unlike the average member of your species you are innately better at different abilities. Instead of following the ability score improvement provided by your race and/or subrace you can either add 2 to any one score of your choice and 1 to a different ability score or you can add 1 to three different ability scores of your choice.

Convert

You or your parents have converted to a different deity setting you apart from others of your race or subrace. You can change your Blessing to the one provided by another deity of the same pantheon or an independent deity. Consult your DM so see all options and for final approval

Exhausted Spellcasting

Sometimes a spell caster may be out of the spell slots needed to cast a certain spell. A spell caster has the option to use their own life force to power their spells instead of spell slots.   When a caster attempts to cast a spell without expending a spell slot, they must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a failure, the caster suffers a number of levels of exhuastion equal to the spell's level or 5 levels of exhaustion, whichever is higher. On a success, the caster suffers half as many levels of exhaustion, rounded up, to a minimum of 3. Regardless of a success or failure, the spell is cast.   If the spell requires concentration, the caster receives the levels of exhaustion immediately after their concentration on the spell ends.

Quick Refreshments

Drinking a potion take a bonus action on your turn instead of an action. If a potion is consumed as an action it heals the full amount possible

Weight of Death

Spells that revive one from being dead are no longer part of spell lists. Most cannot be learned through any means, while some of the highest-level spells can be taught upon the completion of an in-game task or quest. Consumable items capable of casting lower-level resurrection magic exist and might be found where other illegal items are sold.

Push Damage

When you push a target but its movement got stopped before it has traveled the full distance (because of an obstacle such as a wall, a tree, a barrel etc.), then the target takes 1d4 bludgeoning damage for each 5 feet of movement it hasn't been able to travel.

Holding Breath

When you take damage while you are holding your breath, you must make a constitution saving throw with a DC equal to 10 or half the damage you take, whichever number is higher. On a fail, you stop holding your breath.

Spell Scrolls for Everyone

Everyone can use any spell scrolls, even if they can't cast spells. The spellcasting modifier is Intelligence for all scrolls' spells. If the spell is of a level higher than half your character level, you must make an Intelligence (arcana) check with a DC equal to 8 + twice the spell's level. On a failed check, the spell fails and the scroll becomes unusable for the next 24 hours.
