Oath of the Ouroboros
The Ouroboros is the symbol of change and invariability. An endless cycle of end and rebirth, of endless patience and action. This contradictory path, illuminated by the endless serpent, is the heart of the Ouroboros.
Followers of the Ouroboros understand that Time and Destiny are interlinked together, no matter what deity they follow. Whereas many practice their faiths’ to change their mortal fate, these paladins accept their roles as agents of their deity with stoic resolve.
You gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
The serpent's blessings gives you an aura of trickery and deceit. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction. Creatures of your choice in your aura have disadvantage on Wisdom checks and saving throws. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year, and you gain immunity to poison damage. When a creature hits you with a natural weapon attack, such as a claw or bite, it takes poison damage equal to 1d8 + your charisma modifier.
As an action, you can draw the ouroboros on yourself and embody its infinite nature. For the next minute, you can use your Ouroboros channel divinities without expending a use of your channel divinity. At the end of the duration, your hit points are restored to the amount you had on activating this feature. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Tenets of the Ouroboros
The tenets of the Ouroboros vary in way of how the paladin comprehends the endless serpent, but they often offer insight into time and destiny. Patience. Be immaculate in your plans, and do not let hastiness be your downfall. Poison. Be crafty, brute force isn't always the answer. Lethality. Each strike must be final and decisive.
