Oath of Wands

Scholars, mages, and followers of the gods of knowledge and magic are likely candidates to take the Oath of Wands. Dedicated to the practice and preservation of arcane and holy magical practices, these paladins are the guardians of libraries and schools.   Paladins of the Oath of Wands were common in the Arcane Expanse and its neighboring regions. After the Rebellion and the Nights of Burning Books, there were few paladins of this oath left. Those who survived either followed Aetheria or Kydar, or they lived in hiding alongside the others being persecuted and hunted during those times. Now, as organizations that protect Arcanists and magic appear, paladins of this oath are beginning to increase their number once more.

Tenants of Wands

Defend Magic. Stop those who would damage the weave and be sure not to damage it yourself.   All Knowledge is Divine. All things where weaved into existence by the divine for good or ill, to learn is no sin.   Chronicle and Archive. Document and make known your knowledge and discoveries.

Oath Spells

At 3rd level, and when you reach certain levels in this class, you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Wands Spells table. You always have these spells prepared, they do not count against the number of spells you prepare each day, and they count as paladin spells for you.

Channel Divinity

When you take this Oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
  • Magic Miraculum. When you are casting a paladin spell on your turn you can as part of the same action channel your divinity to push the spell to its maximum potential. You cast that spell at the highest spell level you can currently cast spells at (minimum 2).
  • Sanctified Arcarnum. As an action, you can present your holy symbol creating a sure of divine energy. You can cast any Cleric spell with a casting time of 1 action, expending the appropriate spell slot or higher.

Aura of Focus

At 7th level, you and allies within 15ft of you have advantage on Constitution saving throws when attempting to maintain concentration on a spell.   At 18th level, this aura increases to 30 feet.

Four of Wands

At 15th level, your connection to the weave has allowed you to further utilise magical objects. You ignore all class, race, spell and level requirements on attuning to or using a magic item. Additionally, you can attune to up to four magic items at once.

Supreme Sorcerer

At 20th level, as an action, you adorn the armaments of legendary scholars and arcanists. Your armour becomes adorned with precious metals and gemstones that shine with a brilliant light and your weapon radiates with a strong magical force. You gain the following benefits for 1 minute.
  • When you enter this state you gain a 6th level spell slot. You lose this spell slot if it is unspent when you exit this state.
  • You have advantage on saving throws against spells and spell attacks against you have disadvantage.
  • When you hit a creature with a weapon attack using your action, you can cast a Paladin spell with a casting time of 1 action as a bonus action.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
