Sawblade
With the whir of machinery and a whif of steampunk magic, Sawblades employ cutting edge technology to create contraptions of unmatched ferociousness and brutality, capable of cutting through even the heaviest of armor.
Sawblades are often battle-hardened veterans that live for the thrill, rending bones and scales with hysterical fervour. Rev up your blades, and rip and tear until it is done!
You create a mechanical contraption that can cut through the hardest armor, such as bladed gauntlets or a chainsword. This contraption is your Warsaw, and it counts as a martial weapon you are proficient with. It is a two-handed heavy weapon, and deals 4d4 slashing damage on a hit. You can use your Warsaw as a spellcasting focus for your Artificer spells. You can create a Warsaw as part of long rest, upon which your previous Warsaws disassemble into non-functional contraptions.
As a bonus action, you can expend a spell slot to empower your Warsaw for 10 minutes. Whenever you hit a creature with your Warsaw for the duration, you impair its armor and reduce its AC by 1 until its armor is repaired (or until the creature takes a long rest if the creature was unarmored). In addition, your revved up Warsaw can tunnel through nearly any material. As an action for the duration, you can target a 5ft area of material within reach and destroy up to 1 inch of common metal, 1 foot of stone, or 3 feet of wood or dirt.
You can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
While revved up, your Warsaw deals an additional 1d4 lightning damage on a hit. In addition, when you are hit by an attack, you can use your Warsaw to intercept it, reducing the attack roll by 1d4, potentially causing it to miss.
Your Warsaw is always considered Revved up. As a bonus action, you can expend a spell slot to overcharge it for 10 minutes. For the duration, the attack roll reduction and the additional lightning damage from arcane edge increases to 2d4, and you deal this lightning damage to all other creatures of your choice within 10ft of the target when you hit with your Warsaw. In addition, when you use your action to tunnel through materials, you can destroy up to an inch of adamantine or a creation of magical force, such as a wall of force.
