Origin of the Iron Maiden

After making a decision on her birthday, to be or not to be a ruling princess, Princess Cliona Ironwood set out into the world a free woman. With her new found independence she committed to the secret task her mother had given her and buried the necklace of her father. In so doing, Cliona released a malfunctioning magic trap that sent one version of her hurtling through time and another on to the floor. The version that was sent into the future would become known as Iron Maiden and the magic would grant her astronomical powers. The version that remained would one day be approached by a great wizard.
