In the wake of several deaths and some heroic events, the local paper hosts a meet up of heroes in Freedom City and the Freedom Society recruits several new members. The truth of which is the intent of the paper's lead to gather information on the heroes.
GM Notes:
-The news papers herald The Soldier, The Lincoln Hero, and the Freedom Society as mighty heroes for containing a threat that could have wrought havoc on the city.
-In the Freedom Press one mobster is quoted to have said something interesting to The Soldier.
-The section of the paper reads: He laughed, "don't y'all get it? Its a laughing mafia! You weren't a part of it, you had to watch it play out, all of it." Laughing hysterically the guy continued, "You were powerless, you watched it like the changing of the seasons but you couldn't do nothing as he ushered in a new era. You gotta act or you'll watch it all. You gotta' know, with great power comes great responsibility." He then pulled out his pistol and shot himself in the head!
-The mayor William Falkner claims to the presses that he's "happy to have heroes in his city ready to save the day both masked and unmask, sanctioned or no." He goes on to state that his wife and three kids rest easy at night with the likes of the Freedom Society around.
-The Police Commissioner Matthew Knoll states in the papers that the Freedom Society has no place in society and should be both disbanded and arrested, the article mentions that the commissioner has been investigated twice by Internal Affairs for corruption and suggest he may have a bias.
-The Freedom Ledger also calls for an evening gathering of heroes hosted by their own publisher Fletcher Beaumont that will act as an open but costumed meet of the Freedom Society for the sake of active recruitment. The event will be hosted by Beaumont's turn of the century mansion
-The party members are awoken on a Friday morning to the sound of a knock at their door.
-They each receive an invitation, via Curior Six, to meet one Roy Kilmer at his home on November 30th.
-The party begins their day with the morning paper.
-Around 5pm the event begins at the Beaumont family mansion that hosts the Freedom Society for the purpose of active recruitment. There is a memorial for Chris Danger, Grome, and Doctor Scott.
-Soldier, Ms. Citizen, Iron Maiden, The Yankee, Gadget, Dawnguard, Vincent, and Titan attend.
-The Answer was there to check in on their ability to help the city.
-They decide to form the Freedom Society with Ms. Citizen as their leader. (Several members of the Freedom Society dispute these events)
-They decide to regroup the following day at the city's large Atrium to try and meet Roy Kilmer.
