Celestial Miasma

A strange phenomenon that encompasses the outer edges of Dimension X. It is characterized by the appearance of scintillating glittering cloud-like nebula.
The true cause and nature of the miasma is unknown but attempts have been made to study it. These test have come inconclusive as any attempt to capture it has failed as the clouds seem to be entirely intangible.
Moving through the cloud in starcraft to try and see the other side has also been inconclusive as any vessel that ventures far enough into the miasma is inevitably turned around and emerges to the exact point they entered it, confusing participants and researchers. Additionally it has been noted that those who enter the miasma seem to succumb to a gradually increasing trance-like state the further they delve into it. Once inevitably being turned around their recollection of the events are spotty

Manifestation

Swirling nebula with shimmering stars throughout. Invisible at significant enough distance and gradually becomes visible upon moving closer eventually becoming completely opaque at around 4023 kilometers distance to its edge.
