Mutu'etii

Mutu'etii is a classic Laitarii dish. It is a thick piece of flat dough wrapped and baked around some kind of filling (usually a sort of jam, but sometimes also meat and veggies). The dough is cooked to make the shape of a mountain, and is often accompanied by powdered sugar or flour on the "peak". Sometimes a thin, leafed twig is served as decoration alongside it, creating the appearance of a miniature forest.     Mutu'etii is a very common meal in Celetarii and it's surrounding regions, often being made for desert (or dinner itself with the savoury versions) in Laitarii households. It is also a very popular dish in taverns and Celetarii resturants.   The dish is also a favourite among hunters, as the street served version of the dish can be easily taken in a box on a hunt. The dough used in the process of making the dish is while very fluffy and soft, also very tough, so it's unlikely that any of the filling will spill out, even in a chase.

Manufacturing process

Ingriedients

Mutu'etii is made using thick fluffy dough and a filling. The filling is often some type of jam, with chiru berry jam being a very popular flavour. Savoury fillings are usually meat or veggies, such as tutuho meat or cooked jilfen with sauce.

Significance

Mutu'etii makes the shape of the mountain, which is a very sacred symbol in Celetari. While it is also just a common meal, it is often served at special events, especially those which are not so happy, as it is seen as a meal of reassurance, just like the mountains it tries to replicate.

Although mutu'etii is usually served at table (in taverns and restaurants or at home), it is still commonly served at street food stalls. Street mutu'etii is usually wrapped in kira leaves and, unlike it's table served counterpart, has it's fillings completely inside the dough rather than spilling out one of the sides.
