Personal history
The following is an excerpt from Ibahn Ovelenor's adventuring journal:
I Ibahn, formerly known as Thallius Twain Maneford, come from a poor farming family with 20 siblings. Despite being the youngest and weakest, I had a gift for intelligence and often outsmarted my siblings. However, when I was eight years old, me and my family were abducted by ominous figures and brought to a remote desolate castle. I was able to escape by tredging through bat guano and forging a rudimentary key just before I could fully be free I was caught by a tall white-haired man with golden eyes named Emeryn, who chained me to a desk in a small room filled with books. That name still jolts me back to those... (the ink smudges momentarily) As a young and naive individual, I was taken advantage of by Emeryn, who taught me to read and write so that I could write letters for him. However, he would beat me unconscious every time I asked about my family, and after six years of this, I discovered that the letters contained a code for translating information. I added my own code to alert the authorities, resulting in the leader of the organization's capture. Emeryn then became the new leader and forced me to choose between the lives of my captive family members, causing great anguish within me. I couldn't bring myself to kill my father, so they took him from me. Each one after I chose to spare them the suffering, with each stroke of my blade causing the weight within me to grow. Just as the life from my mothers eyes faded the sound of an explosion occurred nearby, knowing I had something to do with this Emeryn stomped on the corpses of my family as his clan of ravagers escaped leaving the town guard to save me. I thought this was the end. No it was only the beginning. Valery, the love of my life, walked into my life and helped me get back on my feet after everything that had happened. With her beautiful black fur and crystal blue eyes, she was not only beautiful but also kind and caring. I was grateful to have her in my life, and I couldn't imagine living without her. We eventually got married, and she gave me the greatest gift of all, our healthy baby son Konnor, named after the author of the first book Valery lent me. Despite my past, I felt content and hopeful for the future. However, my happiness was short-lived when I learned what my future had in store for me, just two weeks after bringing Konnor home. After a trip to the local market for groceries, I heard the sounds of men grunting and kicking something. My curiosity got the best of me and I went to investigate. I found a group of men attacking a hooded figure, and I chased them away before checking on the unconscious person. When I pulled back the hood, I saw that it was Emeryn, covered in blood, cuts, and bruises. Although I was tempted to end his life, I thought of my family and took him to a medical building instead. I felt proud of myself for being a good husband, father, and rabbit, but little did I know that the decision would haunt me. One evening, upon returning home after spending an extended period at the market, I found my wife and child being held at knife point by Emeryn. He thanked me for rescuing him and declared that he would spare me, but because I had caused him significant difficulties, I had to choose between killing my wife or my child. I pleaded and begged, but Emeryn remained resolute. Finally, he threatened to murder them both unless I made a decision, and in desperation, I said, "I choose my son." Those were the last words they heard as he killed them both, then struck me and knocked me unconscious. When I awoke, I was lying beside Valery holding Konnor, both of whom were dead. In blood on the floor, I saw the words "we forgive you." I spent that night digging three graves: one for Valery, one for Konnor, and one for Thallius. From that moment on, my heart was filled with anger, hatred, and a burning desire for revenge The following day, I assumed the name Ibahn Ovalenor and began my quest to find Emeryn. During my search, I pursued every avenue to gain power, seeking the aid of deities, attempting to enroll in magic schools, and even contemplating selling my soul. However, my efforts were fruitless. It was while attempting to enroll in a magic academy that I met Tim, who shared a similar history of rejection. He told me of an ancient necromancer who had hidden a tome in a crypt, and I saw it as my last hope. With the little money I had left, I assembled a team of explorers and set out to find the book. Though it cost us dearly, we succeeded, and I became the apprentice of Er-Zul.Education
As Ibahn delved deeper into the tome, he began to feel the presence of Er-Zul's spirit more and more frequently. At first, it was a faint whisper in the back of his mind, but as he grew more adept with his magic, the apparition became more and more tangible. Soon, Ibahn found himself having full-blown conversations with his mentor, discussing everything from the intricacies of dark magic to the philosophy of power.
It was a brutal education, but Ibahn knew that it was necessary. He saw the power that Er-Zul held, and he knew that he wanted it for himself. Ibahn was forced to push himself to his limits, mastering complex spells and learning to control the forces of life and death.
But it wasn't just about raw power. Er-Zul was a master of strategy and tactics, and he knew that his follower needed to be able to think on his feet if they were to succeed in their missions. Ibahn was taught to be cunning and ruthless, always looking for the weakness in his enemies.
But with great power came great responsibility, and Ibahn knew that he had to be careful not to let his newfound abilities consume him. Er-Zul had warned him of the dangers of succumbing to the lure of dark magic, and so Ibahn made a vow to always use his abilities with awareness. Through the advice and fiery will of the Harengon he would eventually rise to surpass his mentor in both magical ability and stature in the multiverse as well.
Accomplishments & Achievements
In a display of magic beyond the scope of the natural order, Ibahn was able to weave a powerful wish spell that defied the very laws of reality. The complexity of the spell was beyond what most practitioners of magic could ever hope to achieve, with the end goal something most wizards believe insane. Ibahn would call upon The Third, an embodiment of Arcane magic and declare that upon his defeat he would replace him. The success of this spell solidified Ibahn's reputation as one of the most powerful and skilled magic users in the world.
Teaming up with Aurora Brighthollow, Ibahn was able to defeat Sil'Craven, a notorious terrorist from the Dark Ages who had been cursed with immortality. Despite the challenges posed by their immortal foe, Ibahn and Aurora were able to combine their skills to overcome Sil'Craven's defenses and ultimately slay him once and for all. This victory was a testament to Ibahn's ability to work collaboratively with others, and cemented his status as a true hero.
Another feat, however, was his ability to contain The Dark One in a universe outside of influence. The Dark One was an entity of unimaginable power and malevolence, capable of sealing away the Titan of Creation But Ibahn, with his mastery of magic and understanding of the universe's workings, outsmart the entity containing it in a universe outside of influence, removing The Dark Titan from the world.
As Ibahn's power and influence grew, he rose to embody the highest order of magic among the Big Three. His skill and wisdom surpassed that of most magic users in the world, and he became known as a true master of the arcane arts. Able to form stars and creatures with little effort. This was a remarkable achievement for any mortal, who had but started as a humble apprentice years earlier.
Mental Trauma
Ibahn's traumatic experiences were a defining factor in his life, shaping him into the driven and powerful individual he would become. The abduction of his family at a young age and subsequent abuse he endured at the hands of Emeryn left Ibahn with deep emotional scars that he carried with him for years. The feeling of helplessness and the inability to protect his family stayed with him, manifesting into a burning desire for revenge and justice.
Despite the immense pain he suffered, Ibahn was able to channel this trauma into a powerful source of motivation. His quest for vengeance against Emeryn became his life's purpose, driving him to pursue every avenue to gain power and seek the aid of deities and magic schools. Even when these attempts failed, he refused to give up, ultimately becoming the apprentice of the powerful necromancer, Er-Zul.
Ibahn's trauma also taught him the importance of perseverance and resilience. He faced many challenges throughout his journey, but his determination never wavered. His love for his family and his desire to honor their memory propelled him beyond the limits of what others thought was possible, culminating in his ascension to the rank of Archmage.
Ultimately, Ibahn's trauma taught him to embrace his pain and use it as fuel to fight against the system that had wronged him. He refused to let his experiences define him, instead using them as a catalyst for growth and transformation. In doing so, he not only found a sense of purpose that took him to a place beyond enlightenment.

He could not fathom how beings of such immense power and knowledge could stand idly by and allow such atrocities to be committed.
