Stella begins grade school as a part of the Jumpstart program.

Although the youngest member of her class Stella's ability to quickly understand concepts allowed her to join a jumpstart program and attend grade school one year sooner. Being a social butterfly she observed Todd keeping to himself and decided to introduce herself and play with him. She has been friends with Todd ever since.   During grade school Stella was bullied for the odd scars on her head, neck, and shoulders not so much because of the deformity but because she didn't remember how she got them. She was also picked on for looking different from her parents. Todd didn't really stand up to the bullies but stayed by her side and offered her the friendship that she needed.
