Blacktop Casino
The Blacktop casino has been a Ellistown staple for about the last decade or so since the old building was refurbished. It's garish décor, creepy statuary and raucous laughter have attracted locals and visitors alike. Definitely a mid to lower class establishment the only time you'll directly see any of the upper crust in the place is if they decide to go slumming or have specific business with the proprietor. But the money of middies and lowballs are just as good as anyone else.
The Blacktop casino features games of chance like Raider Dice and Wasteland Holdem and takes bets on sporting and other events. They also hold daily lotteries for those willing to risk a few cred to win lots more. The Casino is particularly known for the sport of Coursing and for the The Big Dog of the Bailey Tournament fighting competition.
Stop by and have a drink at the well stocked bar, buy into a hand of Wasteland Holdem, or place a bet with the bookies on premises. If you're brave and hearty enough why not sign up as a fighter for the chance to be a Big Dog.
Just like any casino, the establishment has a few rules
- No fighting in the casino. If you have a conflict take it outside. However, the house is more than willing to set up a betting pool for the usual cut.
- Zero tolerance policy for cheaters and riggers. Those caught will lose both hands and be banned from the casino.
- Weapons, Shields and Armor are welcome in the establishment, but keep them off the tables. Gear check is available.
- The payout odds on all games are generally static and posted before hand with the exception of pool or pot based games.
- Pool and Pot based games are all subject to a casino rake (surcharge) of 10%
