being a one-hour drive away from
Fort Wainwright the teams use the building as an improvised
Battalion Aid Station whenever they are doing training exercises in the nearby mountains.
The school holds a large gymnastics hall, 8 classrooms, a small tennis court, showers, and dressing rooms.
Despite the fact the building was abandoned in 2001 and is in horrible shape, the walls provide better coverage against the weather and cold. It's kept in good enough shape for it to be safe and hospitable.
Battalion aid station
the aid station is set up in the large gymnastics hall. The 8 beds are placed on the left side of the room.
In the middle of the room, multiple tables are placed together in a U-shape, providing a perfect view of the beds as well as the entryway of the room.
