Hunson Vanadir

Hunson Vanadir was a Tiefling prospector and mine owner who discovered the first known thaumium deposits in the Quorel'hrim Kingdom.
Abandoned at a young age due to his infernal heritage, Hunson traveled from town to town, earning a living doing odd jobs for the people he met. The tiefling saved up for mining equipment and made his way to southern Núnicas. While searching for valuable mineral deposits deep in the Dragonsmouth Caves, Hunson uncovered veins of glowing blue rock. Realizing he had stumbled upon something valuable, the tiefling sought audience with the mages at Andarón, who confirmed the mineral's magical properties. Hunson was given a mining contract and rights to mine thaumium from the Dragonsmouth Caves. Over the years, a town sprung up around his mining operation.
Hunson used the wealth he gained from his mining operations to set up an orphanage for abandoned tieflings. Word soon spread throughout the Quorel'rhim Kingdom and tieflings from throughout the realm moved into the town, turning it into a thriving mining community.
Throughout his life, Hunson used his wealth and privilege to push back against the negative perception of tieflings among the elves of Shandalar. When Hunson finally passed away, the town was renamed Vanadir's Rest in his honor.
