"Ratline" Rattsberger

Ratline Rattsberger was born and raised in the slums of Port Peril. As a young halfling, he quickly learned that in order to survive, one had to be nimble and quick. His small size and long arms allowed him to scurry through tight spaces and climb with ease, earning him his nickname "Ratline".
Unfortunately, his criminal tendencies eventually landed him in hot water with the authorities. In a desperate attempt to escape the noose, Ratline stowed away on a ship, only to be discovered and impressed into service by Barnabus Harrigan.
On board the Wormwood, Ratline quickly proved his worth as a skilled climber and rope handler, despite his missing fingers. He is loyal to Captain Harrigan, but always looking for an opportunity to gain favor or climb the ranks, even if it means betraying his fellow crew members.
