After dealing with the spinnenbitch the party found itself in the abandoned altar room, and took a good look around. Upon doing this they discovered the artifact they had been looking for, upon the altar, in combination with inscriptions barely legible in elven, and other languages they didn't understand. Among these markings the name of Lolth, the arachnic queen and elven deity and that of shar, the old godess of the weave and counterpart of mystral, who is now mystra. (Karsus?)
Upon removing the artificat from its pedestal the pillars gave way to a collection of skeletons who attacked the party on sight. battle ensued. because this battle happened so close to a tunnel to the underdark, morkairon almost got to say hello to the spinnenbitch on his way down. What stopped morkairon from meeting an untimely dead was elkyria with a casting of turn undead, making the skeleton grappling morkairon flee in fear and jump down to his own demise. With this turning of the tide, the skeletons were swiftly dealth with.
The party then made their way outside, where they were met with a nasty surprise. An ambush, and their helper Tak Forgefoot held captive. The deal was simple, Tak's life and no combat in exchange for the macguffin that the party had found in the dungeon. As Emanon, the one holding the artifact, and Erifno slowly backed away, the confrontation came to a head, and was started in seriousness with Tak's head on the floor. This set things into motion, Erifno carried Emanon away, and morkairon and Elkyria were forced to run away too. The superior movespeed of erifno meant that he got away easily, whilst the other two were leaft behind. Morkairon was held by our orange friend, Elris, and didn't look like he could get out of his grapple. Elkyria sacrificed herself by casting hold person and keeping it up for several precious seconds as morkairon ran away, hailed by arrows. and that is where we ended the session.
