Doar

Power lives in the mystical lands of Doar. This power takes many forms. Some of these forms terrorise the men of the world in the shape of monsters, vampires or werewolves. Other forms of power go forth to create empires and command minions. Others are wolves in sheep's clothing, black-hearted puppet masters controlling all from the most abyssal shadows. These powers terrorise and enslave with reckless abandon. No ordinary man can face them and live, for many have tried and that many have died. However, in such desperate times as these, there are those the people may turn to. Mercenaries, these individuals will fix any problem for coin. These are men who ply their power for wealth. Power begets power, and while there are many evil wizards and murderous robots, there are just as many mercenaries who will oppose them for the right price. Mercenaries are few but powerful, for those who are weak simply die. They are the lifeblood of society and they define life in this land. They will do anything for enough money, whether that is to fight a war or to kill a king. Money is their only god and while they are not good people, they are, at least, the lesser of two evils.
