Found quite commonly throughout the world, this device appears as a simple colored glass globe with liquid inside of it. When smashed in a fire, the liquid is released and vaporized, putting out the fire. The exact chemical liquid inside is unknown and kept secret by the alchemists that created this device. Most people are just happy to have a few on hand in case of fires and don’t really ask too many questions about it. Mechanics & Inner Workings

The glass sphere contains an alchemical mixture of ingredients that when broken in a fire, quickly extinguishes it.
