Meryl Dawnstar was a holy paladin and great hero to the the people of Lucien. She spent her entire life fighting for good and vanquishing evil from the land. Legends of her exploits and holy Dawnstar Shield are told throughout the lands and all know of her valor and mysterious death.

Personal history
Meryl Dawnstar was born in 783 B.S. in the Kingdom of Lucien to mother Muriel, and father Safak Dawnstar. She had one younger brother Ausros who's fate is lost to history. Meryl began her training and education from a young age in the church of Alacrita and under the tutelage of the Nevar Adepts. After quickly rising through the ranks of the Nevar Adepts she was promoted to the Silver Adepts where she enhanced her training, becoming a holy paladin for her goddess. After their destruction Meryl formed two new holy orders called the Flaming Fists, to seek out and destroy the evil flowing over the lands, and the Blazing Hands, that were trained and stationed in towns and cities to protect them.
Meryl spent the next several years hunting down and destroying many evils that plagued the many kingdoms and lands. Her exploits are legendary and well known throughout the lands. That is until her unfortunate and mysterious death fighting an unspeakable evil of immense proportions. Her final battle and final resting place have vanished from the history books and live now only in our hearts. Church records place this approximately around 743 B.S., but there is no supporting evidence for this date.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Together with the Dawnstar Shield and her Flaming Fist companions, Meryl has defeated numerous foes from the dark kingdoms of Nosveren, Malstrigoi, and the Mirusi Lands. Together they have faced off against the zombies hordes of Schlecht, the black skeleton legion of Cherne, the ghoul lords of Chargate, the terrible wights of Wintermore, the witch sisters of Hazelrest, the depraved Nosveren vampires Arietta Mallum, Sovaj Cazador, Vilda and Simon Mandrake, and the scheming lichs Zzodan and Vamira.

She has always regretted not being able to arrive in time to save her parents and save the Nevar Adepts and the Silver Adepts from destruction.
