Magical Growth Disorder

I made my way to the village plantation as instructed. Small settlements rarely received priests, and often needed medical attention. The call of this particular erred was the introduction of new life into invictus' kingdom. I arrived on the plantation, which grew vigor root, this is of some import. I had not made it into the courtyard, before screaming met my ears. I rushed into the living quarters where the birth was taking place to find the mother in tremendous pain. I aided her the best I could, but my worst fears were made manifest. She did not survive the birth. I fully believe she would have if not for the condition of the child. I assume the parents were Vigor Root addicts, for the child came fully sized. This is a common consequence to consuming the substance while pregnant. Unfortunately I had to take the child from the father, such creatures are of use to the church. Although I wish they were not. Transmission & Vectors

MGD is acquired when a parent is exposed to too much magic while pregnant, or drinks too much vigor while pregnant.

Treatment

Extreme magical drawing, can occasionally work if caught early, but such treatments dont happen, because the patient is unaware or too addicted to care.

Prognosis

Children born with MCD are full sized at brith. They usually stand 2-3 feet tall, and 40 pounds.  They however are magical condouits like nothing else store more energy than is stable in their tiny bodies

History

The first recorded case of this condtion was assumed to happen pre cataclysim.

Cultural Reception

Due to the violtie nature (and tendancy to kill mothers during birth) MGS children often are ostracized from society. The Veren Empire in particular has a habit of giving these children to the chruch or legion for study. They often are used as suicide infantry, because of their ability to store magic.
