The Crosspost
Ritiash stood in the center of a packed room. Businessmen, Generals, Kings, priests and lords watched him. He looked out at the diverse crowd feeling naked in his simple monk robes. These people are wore such finary, the war looked as if it didn't touch them at all. Ritiash knew that was superficial though. These people had all felt the war. Beneath these masks of wealth he saw tired eyes, and broken hearts. How he missed the honesty of the poor. Unfortunately, they didn't make the decisions of the world, for there would be no war if all were in such righteous humility. He could only do so much with his one cycle. Then with a raise of his hands and tail he quieted the room.
"This war, was declared by our fathers' fathers. It was declared at this spot, when Veren built a fort on contested land. We cannot erase the ignorance of the past, but we have both paid for it in blood. According to the Vanar, all life must be protected, even after wrong doing. I ask we honor that, we find the redemption our parents could not. The terms have been set, but I have one proposal. We turn this place of war into a place of peace. It is not enough to sign treaties and walk away. We must forgive through understanding. Here at this place, shall become a meeting point for our cultures. We shall trade freely, and nether side shall enforce their own laws, aside from blatant crimes. We will allow our children learn from each other, so another war is avoided. We are all one people, but different cultures. It is best if we learn together. I beseech you wise men of our nations, donate the lands and spoils to each other, and let us build new stronger society's where we need not worry about bloodshed. Kings and Emperors have listed to the council of this priest, and he have found mutual accord. Let us ensure that it lasts."

Purpose / Function
The Crosspost was orignonally made as a Veren fort. The Veren used it plenty of times to launch Invasion into Tuzar. The building's purpose changed when Ritiash the peace broker requested that the nations turn it into a localized gathering point where both cultures could interact.
It is now a sight of pilgrimage and trade. Both nations often have holidays where youth are sent to the site to learn about the others culture and bring understanding back to their home nation. While the site is more economy that educational in present day. Veren Austerity and Tuzar Lavishness coming to odds. The site is still used to broker peace, and remained both factions of the blood conflict they set behind them.
