Rejecting Worship and Forging Your Own Destiny
No one can deny the reality of the deities of Drac'Tara, whose presence and deeds are visible in the night sky and sometimes directly in the mortal realm. But some people refute the idea that the deities are worthy of reverence. Some believe they are not even gods, but rather a super powerful race or state of being. Such iconoclasts are common among the leonin, but members of any culture can adopt this supernatural gift.
Common Reasons One May Forgo Worship
- I blame the deities for the death of those I cared about.
- Multiple deities seek to use me to their ends, so I try to avoid all divine entanglements.
- It’s obvious the deities are fickle and unworthy of worship.
- I know the world’s future lies with mortals, not deities.
- I’m convinced the deities want me dead.
- I refuse to be a pawn in divine schemes.
