Shadowcasters

Those who learn to manipulate the powers of darkness are known by many names. Necromancers, death knights, witch doctors, and others could all be seen as shadowcasters. Anyone who seeks to bring more darkness into the world than their frame should impose. Each of the dragon curses has used the power of the shadow to warp living beings to their whims, corrupting them from the Light’s initial designs. Those who defy light even further by raising dead thralls or binding souls to this plane as risen are considered especially vile. But the truest embodiment of the primeval of darkness would be if one was to defy their death of their own accord and achieve lichdom. Were they to do so they would become the true Lord of Death and, some will argue, a physical manifestation of Umbra in the material world. This ultimate offense is the deepest fear of all those who keep a candle for the light of Aurora.
