Alaric, the Kingdom's Archer, the words of the king.

Alaric, with his sun-kissed skin and piercing blue eyes, grew up in the dense woodlands on the fringes of the Draconic Kingdom. From a young age, he showed an innate talent with the bow. His father, an old woodsman, taught him not only the ways of the bow but also the language of the forest. Alaric learned to read the signs of nature and became a superb tracker, able to chase down even the most elusive game.   While he was unparalleled in his archery skills, Alaric also possessed a peculiar talent: he had an exceptional memory and a knack for storytelling. A trait he got from his mother, after a day's hunt, he would sit around the village campfire, recounting old legends, tales from other lands, and even events he'd witnessed himself. His tales became so renowned that they would draw listeners from neighboring villages.   During a tournament hosted in the capital, Alaric decided to compete, wanting the funds for his village and wishing to test his skills against the realm's best. Eager participants from all corners of the kingdom flocked in, including Alaric, whose name had become a beacon of hope in his hometown.   Among the competitors was the formidable Eastern General of the Iron Domain: Land of Industry and Might, a warrior known for his mastery over all weapons and the champion of the previous year's tournament. The general, having never been bested in archery, viewed the competition with casual arrogance. However, when Alaric stepped up, the crowd witnessed an epic duel of precision and skill. Arrow after arrow, shot after shot, both competitors matched each other, but it was Alaric who clinched the title, albeit by the slimmest of margins.   King Vendrick: From Modest Beginnings to a Monumental Legacy, highly impressed by Alaric's skills and humility in victory, approached him with a unique proposition. He would not just be an archer in the royal ranks, but also serve as the King's confidant and advisor. A named knight, a voice for those outside the capital and cities. Alaric's keen mind, coupled with his prowess with the bow, made him the perfect candidate for such a dual role.   Alaric was invited to the royal court, not just as an archer but as a royal scribe and storyteller. He became "The Words of the King", traveling the kingdom to gather news, tales, and events, bringing them back to the court and crafting them into compelling narratives. He acted as Vendrick's personal communicator, relaying royal decrees and messages to the far reaches of the kingdom.
