Caelum, the royal aegis, the right hand of the king.

Born into the devoutly religious nation of the Sanctum Sanctorum, Caelum, initially known by his birth name Vel, grew up immersed in a world of prayer, piety, and deep spiritual discipline. Within the hallowed walls of the Sanctum, life was regimented, dictated by holy scripture and ancient rites. However, as he matured, a deep-seated sense of wanderlust began to stir within him. It was this unquenchable thirst for freedom and discovery that compelled him to leave his homeland, forsaking the religious strictures and societal expectations that had once bound him.   As Vel wandered the lands, he honed his combat skills, becoming a formidable warrior, with his massive mace becoming an extension of his will. His travels brought him face to face with numerous challenges, from battling monstrous creatures to surviving harsh environments. These experiences not only hardened his physique but also broadened his perspective, teaching him about the complexities of life beyond the Sanctum's sheltering walls.   It was during one of these wandering sojourns that destiny brought him into the path of a young and ambitious King Vendrick: From Modest Beginnings to a Monumental Legacy, who was then still in the early stages of his great unifying war. The two clashed in what would later be remembered as an epic battle, with neither giving an inch. Their duel lasted hours, with each move being met with a counter, each strike parried with precision. By its conclusion, a mutual respect had formed between the two warriors.   Seeing Vel's exceptional prowess, almost rivaling his own, Vendrick extended an invitation for him to join his elite cadre of personal knights. Vel, having no ties and seeing the nobility in Vendrick's quest to unify the kingdom, accepted. He was rechristened as Caelum, symbolizing his new life under the vast open sky of the Draconic Kingdom.   Over time, the bond between Vendrick and Caelum deepened, going beyond mere comradeship to a profound friendship. The two faced numerous battles together, with Caelum often acting as Vendrick's shield, his unwavering aegis. This bond of trust was solidified when Vendrick named him as his "Right Hand," a title indicating both his position as a trusted adviser and his role as a critical force on the battlefield.   Beyond his martial prowess, Caelum possesses a deep wisdom, influenced by his time in the Sanctum Sanctorum. His counsel is often sought by Vendrick on matters of spirituality and morality, grounding the king's decisions in a sense of righteousness.   To the people of the Draconic Kingdom, Caelum stands as a testament to the ideals of loyalty, strength, and honor. Yet, to Vendrick, he is more than just a knight; he is a brother-in-arms, a confidant, and the embodiment of the kingdom's indomitable spirit.
