Sanctum of the Celestial Serpent

The Sanctum of the Celestial Serpent is the spiritual epicenter for the Order of the Astral Coil, a sect venerating the cosmic balance between creation and destruction, symbolized by the Wyrm — an eternal dragon that coils around the foundations of the world. This dragon is believed to be both guardian and destroyer, embodying the cycles of nature and the universe. The followers hold that the Wyrm's awakening will herald a time of great change and that through understanding the Wyrm's divine will, they can achieve enlightenment and harmony.   The temple architecture is a fusion of High Gothic and mystical elements, designed to mirror the heavens above. Ribbed vaults and pointed arches soar skyward, while the walls and ceilings are adorned with intricate mosaics of lapis lazuli and gold leaf, depicting the Wyrm amidst the stars. The dominant structure is the central spire, representing the axis mundi, around which the dragon eternally coils. The spire is surrounded by eight smaller towers, symbolizing the eight phases of the Wyrm's cosmic cycle.   The temple's outer structure is built from a unique marble that, during the day, reflects the sky, seamlessly blending the temple into the heavens. At night, the structure seems to disappear, leaving only the golden glow of light from its windows visible, as if the temple itself has become part of the celestial tapestry.   The interior is a sanctified ground bathed in a perpetual twilight, illuminated by floating orbs that mimic the night sky's constellations. The air carries a constant, gentle hum, said to be the Wyrm's voice, offering a serene, almost dreamlike experience to worshippers and visitors alike. The centerpiece is the Grand Atrium, where the statue of the Celestial Serpent dominates, crafted from silver and studded with gemstones to represent the stars, with an eternal flame at its base symbolizing the dragon's fiery breath and life-giving energy.
