...in an alternate but closely linked version of our own world lies a fantastical land doomed by fate to a calculated end. What we interpret as ancient Gods, myths and legends are practical truths in this world; memories of an ancient land. The world is ruled by Dragons, controlled by powerful mages and corrupted by the ever-increasing presence of gnomish technology. Terrifying darkness lurks in every corner where Sol's light cannot reach. Monsters are a way of life, as is the call to adventure. Adventurers can find a career in fighting monsters, delving deep dungeons, and uncovering ancient Ayavean artifacts long-forgotten. This is a world of High Fantasy mixed with real world myths, legends, and stories transformed to fit into this chaotic world.   This page contains the Draconis Campaign Guide, and is a campaign setting developed for the role-playing game system Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. The information is laid out to mimic the structure of the D&D5e Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster's Manual. If you are reading the information contained within, it will make a lot more sense if you read it with these books at your disposal to compare. Every article is laid out in order of the chapters of the original books and uses their structure to display what is changed / added to the world of Draconis when playing in this campaign world.   As you browse through information you should see chapter and page references to show you information referenced by each individual page. This website does not reproduce any of the information found inside those books, but will show you things that have been edited or changed. In some cases you will see information stricken, this refers to things in the original books that have been removed in Draconis. In these cases the information displayed will be most often paraphrased to avoid duplicating published material online.   A lot of images used as reference for this campaign world are works that I do not own the rights to, and because of that this site will try it's best to accredit any artists known when possible, but ultimately I seek to replace all images with ones that I may own the copyrights to. In the end hopefully everything here will appear as original content when all is said and done. If you see something owned by you, or by an artist you know, and it is not properly attributed, please contact me so I may change that. All instances of copyright infringement are admitted freely, and not at all intentional. I will remove any material you own on request.
