Cockatrice

These are some of the strangest draconic. (And that's saying something.) Now, I'm not saying they're creeping looking. Just strange. Picture a rooster, then add some dragon wings and scales, throw in a pair of weird yellow-glowing eyes and in front of you is a cockatrice.

There are two things you should know about these draconic. One, they can kill you in a variety of ways, some touch you, others it's by breathing on you, and the rare and dangerous kinds do it by looking at you. And two, how to defend yourself from a Cockatrice. Option a) have a rooster crow, but considering that there won't always be a rooster in the nearby viscinity. Option b) have the cockatrice see their reflection. Because that will most certainly kill them.

(Trust me. I speak from experience.)

Basic Information

Anatomy

The cockatrice has two chicken legs and a long lizard-like tail with dragon or bat-like wings, but others have more chicken-like wings. They have the head of a rooster and gleaming yellow eyes.

Their body varies from with feathers to without feathers. The ones with feathers have a variety of colores. The ones without feathers have scales usually green.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The cockatrice is a dangerous draconic for its ability to kill a human by either looking, breathing, or touching them. However, some people say that they don't kill humans with a look, but rather turn them to stone, which I suppose can still kill them....

Another thing the cockatrice is rumored to have is poison, which it soaks its feathers in. I've never tested this, but with my knowledge of these draconics I don't think it's likely.
