The Great Bard
The Great Bard Mari Tiana Crestweaver
The Ling nation is one of the few nations that hold the old stories and legends close to heart. Lings, notorious for their lively people, hold some of the most renowned bards in the world. The bards transfer the tales orally to taverns and scholars alike, passing down the legends to all those who will listen.
The Great Bard, praised for her amazing voice, articulation, and legendary memory; has given countless lectures of the creation of the world to humans, orcs, and several other races. She has allowed these races to copy and teach these lessons to others. This was considered taboo, because it goes against the bard's nature to not spread the legends orally.
Because she was willing to break taboo, generations of people have learned of the origins of the world, the seven immortal beings, and their relics. Those who could afford higher education, were guaranteed to learn these lesson. Beyond that, it still spreads primarily from word of mouth and in taverns told by bards.
