Origins
It may surprise you to learn that Human ancestry began on an impossible deathworld planet that most in the Galaxy would have deemed uninhabitable.
A planet circling a single sol on a tilted axis constantly enduring the flux of four shifting seasons as well a myriad of natural disasters, ice-ages, volcanic eruptions that shrank its seas and a diversity of life whose food-chain seems to wrap back around to devour its own tail.
And yet somehow, in all of that chaos, something began to awaken on the small blue planet. A mote of consciousness that in a relatively short time began to not only master its environment, but to dominate it, terraform it, and eventually set its sight on the stars.
Humanity might have been the last race to reach the grand opera of Infinity, but once they reached it, they wasted no time in capturing their legacy. There is no doubt that the people of Earth are born with something totally unique to the galaxy.
A heart that is noble in spirit, and destined for greatness.
While young, Earth civilization is one of the most advanced in all of the universe. The capsule cities found on their small, blue homeworld are technological marvels that rival even the greatest inventions of the Androids in design. The Humans exhibit the rare power to accumulate the vast knowledge of all races and are quickly evolving their society at a rate that no other species has ever been capable of. A planet of vast resources, incredible intellects, and adaptable skills has given the people of Earth a rare edge over the older races of the universe as they strike across the stars and seize every opportunity that presents itself.
Modern Era
Earth's influence in the galaxy cannot be overstated. Humanity has built the most prosperous and peaceful empire in all of the 'verse, and has become a superpower rivaled only by the Icerian Empire.
The homeworld of Humanity itself is a prime location for nearly every institution of ideas one could hope to seek out in the galaxy. It is the host of innumerable martial arts dojos, monasteries and temples. The home of the infamous Capsule Corporation as well as Vitae Corp, and the Julian Salnor institute. And is one of the major epicenters of the collective consciousness for arts and entertainment.
As the galaxy has entered into the golden age of the ascended warrior, all of these traits have helped Earth become the premier staging point for the gatherings of these powerful and influential beings. It has also made it the target and battleground of some of the fiercest conflicts between them that has been recorded in modern history.
Cultural Keystones
Humans are renowned for their ability to adopt new technology, and cultural practices that serve them or that they just "feel" strongly about. Perhaps this is due to how their planet is in such a constant state of flux, or just how "young" they are as a species but Earth is considered the largest "melting pot" of ideas. Anyone of any ancestry can go there and find Humans ready to receive them.
Earth has so many varied sectors and individual keynote cities of importance and cultural significance that one can become lost in all that is so widely available while traveling upon it. It features nearly every environment biome, it hosts practically all alien species. It is diverse in both its landscape, and its people.
It has suffered as many victories as it has losses as a superpower, and it has allied with and broken ties with most of the other galactic giants at least once that it doesn't seem as though there is anything the Humans of Earth cannot achieve if they set their minds to the task.
It's clear that humanity's greatest strength is their willingness to adopt the best strategies and methods to pursue their dreams, rather than holding fast to rigid traditions, or antiquated viewpoints.
