Born of Magic

Due to the powerful regenerative powers associated with Magic-demons, in roleplay a Magic-Demon character must possess a "Core" that if destroyed, removes this ability. The core must be visible in the character's description although it's nature need not be explained.

Origins

Truthfully, the birth of a Magic-Demon is rare beyond reckoning, and each seems individual unto itself. There is no clear history or clear origin for these creatures, and they can take nearly any form imaginable.
Some are born from rare feats of great sorcery. Some emerge from dimensions rifts. Others have come screaming out of the Maelstrom on the Epitome of Nightmares, and others still have emerged from dreams.
There is no way to predict when a Magic-Demon will be born or what bestows them the strange powers that they have at their disposal.
The only constant, and the only reason that the universe as a whole has ever deemed that they must in some way all be connected is that every Magic-Demon has a "Core."
This "Core" is usually the focus point of their being. Shattering it is the same as stopping the beating heart of any other life form and always results in the destruction of the Magic-Demon itself. The Core can take as many forms as the demons themselves however, adding another level of mystery.
Whether or not we will ever understand the unique nature of these creatures is a question that no one can answer truthfully, but when one appears they have often been the source of great strife.
Tread carefully when encountering these rare beings.
