Dragonforged
Dragonforged is my first world for my first homebrew D&D campaign. I found D&D when 5E came out, so I'm relatively new to all this. I don't know much about my world yet, but I want it to be a place where my players can be and do anything they want to be or do.
I draw heavily from the Forgotten Realms, since it's the only other world I know. Most things are custom built, others randomly determined, and some are plucked directly from other sources and dropped in verbatim.
The setting of Dragonforged is a typical "high fantasy" D&D world. There are dungeons, and dragons, and magic, and monsters, and giants, and elves, and just about anything else you can imagine. With a general medieval feel, it could be compared to the published D&D setting of the Forgotten Realms and a lot of details are taken straight from there. Each campaign may be different in terms of play style, but they will not change these fundamental guidelines. But the actions of the PCs can and will change the living world.
The environment functions just like that of Earth for the most part. A single sun rises in the east and sets in the west while the moon follows it at night. Gravity holds everything down, but magic can make things fly. There are weather patterns and climate regions and ecosystems similar to those of earth. Depending on the latitude, most places experience four seasons in a year.
