Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
In the desert, akrag birds usually make their nests in holes by a riverbank or lake's edge, dug using their powerful feet, while in more rugged regions they find shelter within crevices or beneath boulders, where each pair takes turns guarding a dozen or so eggs until they hatch. Akrag chicks are able to fend for themselves as soon as they're able to walk, so the parents don't stick around for long.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Akrag birds feed on whatever seeds, shoots and whatever invertebrates they can find, and derive all the water they need from them.
