Anma Cacti
Anma cacti1 are found primarily around Ymn Lake and surrounding oases throughout the Southern Desert in southeastern Dragonía. The Minotaurs inhabiting the region, particularly nomads, have semi-domesticated the plant by gradually modifying the terrain there and keep wild animals away2 so that they can harvest the cactus juice, ferment it and sell to sedentary Minotaurs around Ymn Lake in exchange for other goods.
Although the latter grow the cacti to some extent as well, the cactus juice sold by the nomads is highly sought after due to it fermenting during their travels across the desert and being flavoured with various ingredients found there or traded from Þrihaks to the north.
