Lóal
Mlúkrok:
Lóal /lo:al/ is one of the western territories of the Kroks on Vorran Peninsula in western Dragonía, bordered by the Bay of Lúrrtún to the east, Ilkigit Sea to the south, and the territories of Kekraal-í beyond Naþvakró River to the north and west and Kútvor to the northeast.
The capital of Lóal is Sevraak at the mouth of the river Naþvakró, which is one of the largest on the peninsula and the grandest of all the ones that now lie in ruins along the east bank, the latter which were abandoned as the territory gradually expanded downriver. The ruins are visited once a year when representatives of each tribe partake in a race along the entire river, during which the local Kroks perform rituals to appease the spirits at the sites for disturbing their peace. Although no trophies are granted to the victor, being the first to reach Naþvakró's source is believed to grant luck to their entire tribe.
The people of Lóal are known for their baskets and bags adorned with seashells, which are exchanged for metals and especially Tree Silk, as silk tree cultivation is next to impossible in the region. Most tribes live by Naþvakró or the coast, and thus fish and other seafood forms an important part of their cuisine, particularly Vlarks from fisheries to the east. The latter are traditionally marinated, roasted and served with certain edible flowers.
