Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The Kroks native to the region believe the trees to be sacred and thus avoid cutting them down, but instead make incisions in their bark, which produces sap. The sap is boiled and treated in other ways to produce colourful Tree Silk, a waterproof and exceptionally soft material used for clothing and is highly sought after by the neighbouring Jaarels and other people beyond the Vúrakesen Mountains.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Silk trees are most common around the Savrí Lakes in central Vorran Peninsula and -to somewhat less extend- to the east of them, as far as the Vúrakesen Mountains foothills.
