Sagecrafting & Sage Stones
Sage Stones, versatile and powerful, are specialized crystals used in a wide range of applications, such as Machina and other arcane devices. The key to their unique properties lies in the art of Sagecrafting, a complex alchemical process that combines Ley Crystals and other arcane materials to create these extraordinary stones.
There exists a diverse array of Sage Stones, each with distinct characteristics that serve a particular function. Amplification, control, levitation, communication, and temporal manipulation are just a few examples of the myriad abilities these stones possess. This versatility makes them indispensable in the development of advanced arcane machinery, commonly referred to as Machina.
The Sagecrafting Process
The creation of Sage Stones involves several key steps, each requiring the Sagecrafter's skill and expertise:- Material Selection: The Sagecrafter chooses the appropriate materials needed to create a specific Sage Stone. The primary component is a vat filled with liquid Concentrated Essence or other concentrated Primoriald Energy, while other materials such as Ley Crystals, which naturally channel the Primordial Energy, Essence are selected.
- Energy Manipulation: The Sagecrafter harnesses and manipulates the arcane energies in an Arcane Crystallizer to form a dense, semi-solid core. This is achieved through the use of specialized tools like Alchemical arrays and the caster's own magical abilities.
- Infusion and Formation: With the core established, the Sagecrafter carefully infuses the additional materials into the energy matrix. These materials serve as both a stabilizing agent and a means of directing the energy flow within the stone.
- Crystalline Lattice Construction: In this intricate step, the Sagecrafter meticulously constructs the crystalline lattice within the stone. This lattice acts as the arcane circuitry, guiding the flow of energy within the Sage Stone and determining its magical properties.
- Final Solidification and Polishing: Once the crystalline lattice is complete, the Sage Stone is allowed to solidify fully. The Sagecrafter then polishes the stone to a smooth, translucent finish, revealing the beautiful and intricate lattice within.
