Shou'n People and Ethnicity

The Isle of Shou is home to a unique culture found almost exclusively on their island. Their culture is steeped in tradition and honor, with the worst insults and slights being labeled as dishonorable. The humans typically have dark, almost black hair, and almond-shaped dark brown eyes. There are quiet a few native Silver Dragonborn as well, their culture are almost identical to the humans of Shou. Their weapons and armor is unique to the island but functionally the same as any other culture of the era, save for a greater prevalence of fire enchantment on weapons. Most races are accepted on the island though treated like foreigners, save for the dwarves who are scorned and despised on the island due to their prior conflict with the silver dragons that once lived on the Island. The Shou'n society runs on a very rigid hierarchy, with the Empress sitting at the head of the government. A common way to break from the position a citizen was born to is to enlist in the guard or, if the dangerous life of adventure suits them, join the Temple of the Three Peaks. The temple allows for anyone worthy to distinguish themselves and potentially even gain status up to lordship.
