Little Ilmoor
In Gloucestershire, England lies the sleepy, yet picturesque village of Little Ilmoor. This spring line settlement, formed around a natural set of springs, is known for its luscious gardens, cozy cottages build of the honey-coloured Cotswold stone, and the incredibly high amount of little old ladies living there with their clowders of cats (but not necessarily solving crimes). Indeed, nowhere else in England are you as likely to receive an invitation from a sweet old granny for "tea and biscuits, dear" while strolling along the hedges surrounding the small houses.
However, be warned that there might be more than meets the eye in this almost sickly idyllic hamlet. Never, ever make the mistake of kicking a cat or picking a flower without a permission! Or be ready to face the consequences.
Infrastructure
For your everyday tourist, Little Ilmoor is what you can expect from a small, English village - not that the village sees that many of tourists, if not some garden enthusiast or those 'trying to find the good old England long gone'. It has one main road, along which you will find a pub / inn (the only accommodation for visitors), a general store with a surprisingly good selection of wares, and an old-fashioned post office. The village also has a tearoom, called The Honeysuckle Cottage, that serves extraordinary honey cakes and blackberry lemonade worth of tasting.
For those with some arcane knowledge, Little Ilmoor is the home for a notable coven of green witches, many of whom are of fae ancestry. This is the place to go if you seek potions, natural remedies or a piece of old wives' wisdom. Here you can also find some of the finest Compass Moths. Indeed, Little Ilmoor has earned its title as the leading village of green witchcraft.
