The Graves' Six

TW: This article makes a reference to using humans as test subjects, however, no details are included and no specific groups targeted.

The Graves' Nine was a small research group working in secrecy back in the 1960s, assembled by Roseanne Graves and consisting of six other members, hence the name by which the group is known today. Their mission was to artificially enhance the magical abilities in humans, which they tried to achieve by performing illegal magiscientific tests on living subjects. All of the former members were believed to have a connection to The University of Wintermuir, but because the identities of two of the members were never discovered, this is mere speculation. The escape of the two members has also caused the name Graves still cast a shadow today, as some have speculated that the tests might have continued even after the capture of the group's leader.

History

Very little is known about the early chapters of The Graves' Six, because even after the disbandment, the former members refused to give away any information. It is likely that the members of the group were chosen by and summoned by professor Roseanne Graves based on their former research on the magical field. The group conducted magiscientific experiments on human subjects for almost a decade before being caught. Their goal was to find out, what attributes correlated to the magical potential of an individual, and how those attributes could be artificially produced and enhanced. Even though Graves herself claimed that it was all for the humanity, speculations about the true motive have roamed wild. Some have even linked the work done by The Graves' Six with the Cold War.

Disbandment

The Graves' Six went unnoticed for a decade, but was disbanded by Winter Court after their acts saw the daylight. Some have speculated that Winter Court only intervened after being pressured by the other Courts, and the wildest conspiracy theorists have even suggested that the court had more to do with The Graves' than they want people to know.

It is noticeable that not all members of the Graves' Six were found, so it is possible that the experiments continued even after the group was formally disbanded. The University of Wintermuir has denied any association with the Graves' Six.
