The Mask of the Empress

Only a few records of the items powered by the Ancient Magic and used back in the original Homelands of the Fae remain. One of them is an old script describing an item known as "The Mask of the Empress", a magical artifact that was once held in hight regards. Because of the damage to the script describing the item, the exact methods of use for the Mask are unknown. Yet, many have speculated during the years, what exactly was the true usage of the Mask of the Empress - and if it could be used again, was it found among the items that were brought with them to Earth.

History

The history of the Mask is, as is with everything that has to do with the Ancients, shrouded in mystery. The scholars have suggested that it was an artifact that once belonged to one of the rulers of the original Homelands, however, some have argued that no historical evidence suggest an existence of such a figure as the Empress. 
If one is to believe that the Mask originated from the Homelands, it must have, at some point, ended in the Dream Willow that brought the ancestors of the Fae to Earth. No records of the usage of the mask before the Cataclysm exist, nor does any information of what happened to it after the Fae were forced to flee to the mundane realm. Yet, there are those who insist that it is a true artifact.
