Session 1: The Jail

General Summary

In this episode of "Dream Thieves"... It is the beginning of the third era, in the Realm of Somaria, in the Kingdom of the Guilded Alliance, in the Capital City of Union, in a court house not far from the outskirts of the city walls... Our adventurers found themselves in jail cells, locked up for a petty crime, only to be greeted by Justice Turin. When he interrogated the heroes, he was about to sentence them to five days of community service, until a strange cloaked figure appeared, using dangerous magic to control his mind and change the sentence to fifty years in prison without chance of bail or parole! The heros, still stuck in their cells, were freed by Azarin, but were then met by an Armature named Jacques, who freed the remaining heros, giving them tools to escape the rest of the jail and return to the surface above. The heroes had 2 options, head to the courthouse above where the wedding of Princess Penelope Oriana was taking place, or head down to the abandoned mine where there was a working service elevator that could also set them free. The heros learned that "shiny rocks" were recently found in the abandoned mine. The heros spoke to other prisoners, including Bran Gildurn, a pirate lord who promised protection from his clan, the Scarlet Marauders, if they helped set him free. The heros spoke to a doctor named Cedric of Willoughby, a blind doctor who sets broken limbs, who offered to help them if they ever traveled to Willoughby. The heros met a snake, polymorphed from another form he didn't disclose, who was set free by Azriel, picking the lock. It was learned that he had himself intentionally jailed so that he could get closer to his assassination target, Judge Turin. Azriel opened a chest to find an admission pass to the wilted thicket, and a floating flower. A battle ensued, as heroes tried to access a room with a jailor keeping close guard on a treasure chest. The guard alerted the rest of the jailors to come to his aid. Judge Turin is confirmed dead from The Mysterious Snake. The heroes found blank invitations that could be used to join Princess Penelope's wedding procession.
