In the city of Sotto Varoona there stands an ugly and horribly designed building that doesn't match the city in the slightest... Within its bland walls is the only place in the entire city that sells the coveted Purple Koaz snail: "Bert's Snails". The people of Varoona are indifferent to the enigmatic and odd seller of the Purple Koaz snail.
Beneath the waves in the city of Sotto Varoona, however, Bert is beloved and lauded as the sole savior of their economy as he single-handedly revitalized the snail industry centuries ago. The aquatic inhabitants of the bay do not appear to be bothered by Bert's odd appearance, abrasive attitude, or pure disdain for the gods, including Varoona. There's just something charming about an ugly little creature that doesn't seem to die...
