Diavolo, the Executioner
(a.k.a. Volo)
Amidst the ash and soot-covered streets of Ah'Shal, the many poor and few wealthy alike part at the sound of heavy footfalls and the sight of glowing red eyes drifting eerily amidst the smog. Almost never seen without a toothpick between his sharp teeth, a wide-brimmed hat atop his head, and his signature greataxe in his grasp or strapped across his back, the people of Ah'Shal – and the Neg'Varos Bay for that matter – know not to get in the way of one of the most notorious bounty hunters.
A skilled bounty hunter, Volo seems to have gained the moniker "The Executioner" from his favorite method of bringing in bounties: beheaded and dead. It's much easier to carry back the head as proof than the whole body. However, his title appears to be two-fold... and Volo isn't the only executioner. In the service of Ah'Shal, Volo serves as one of her executioners, removing targets who have overstayed their welcome in the land of the living. For the most part, however, he seems to be subjected to his own whims and those of the factory overlords. Despite the nature of his career choice, he adheres to some sense of honor and chivalry, honoring terms of a bet or coming to the aid of Varoona despite that being "outside his area of expertise".
