A brief history of Thrast, from Mora'Callovin

The planet of Thrast is an unusual one, it's denizens are not here naturally, they were once a group of no more than 100 lost planar explorers and had been left abandoned on a inhospitable world of smoke and death. Their leader, Felix Starsong, felt a pull down into the deep, and with no other options, they set off. No-one is quite sure what happened next, but when they emerged, born anew, they were changed. Their leader, now a great beacon of power and hope, was reshaped into Faelax: The Reborn, and his closest allies made into his royal court. The smoke changed to air, lifespan extended to infinity and the world flourished. The ground moulded itself to accommodate for the new life and all prospered for years to come. If only those could've lasted.
Faelax eventually built another portal to return to those they left, for just a short while, but the fey (guardians of the planes) refused them saying "they were tainted by dark magic", and naturally this angered the King, but more importantly, Thrast itself. Again, no-one is quite sure what happened in that pit, for no-one would say but Faelax seemed to "speak" with Thrast - my conclusion at least, for not long later the people of Thrast were being rallied for war, if they could not return to their homeland, they'll just have to reclaim it. The first battle was closer than expected seeing the might of the fey, even with Faelax's great power however, a pure numbers game showed they were destined to fail. Thrast did not like this. A low, dull fear was then permanently set into the hearts of all those in Thrast, even that of Faelax. (How I know this, you may ask? I asked him.) Thrast became a battery of war, re-focusing away from beauty and posterity, to battle and murder. The increased dark magic in the air left a darker, more solemn look to the planet and that looming fear remained ever present. Following the greatest Thrastian defeat, where Lilliana, the fey queen, felled Faelax, the fear grew paramount.
There was hope for Thrast, however, in the form of a large metallic structure falling from the skies, and inside... Salvation. Atrox: The Obscurum, soon to be Atrox: The God King emerged from the vessel and, yet again, brought Thrast into the light. He once told me he never felt the fear, I was suspicious, he then granted me some power of his own and lo. I never felt it again. He spread his powers over all, and while most still held slightly onto the fear, it served more as a dull reminder than anything. Atrox once himself went down into that pit, he never told me what happened, but looked awfully smug as he emerged. And the rest... is history.
