Northbank

On the northern bank of the Ashaba river the simply named Northbank is a no-frills neighborhood that still remembers the traditional life of the Dalesland farmers. Farmers, ferrymen, tanners and smiths the people of Northbank are honest folk who make a good living with their hands. The people of Northbank are happy to accept the opportunity and protection occupied by Driftriver but keep the bustling city at arm’s length, enjoying their traditional rural lifestyle. Northbank is surrounded to the north by rich fertile farmland. The bounty of various crops and their husbandry of useful farm animals can draw attacks from beasts, monstrosities, or organized bandit groups from time to time.

The Fairgrounds
The wide stretch between Northbank and the farming fields serves many purposes. In harvest time much of the threshing and processing is done here, but when there is no work the space often hosts many fairs, weddings and events.
Cannon Ball Beach
Located east of Northbank, this sandy beach runs along the north perimeter of the Pool of Yeven. This beach is a popular recreational area.
Alfonso’s Beer and Cheer
A dive bar near the Northbank docks known as a meeting place for those on the north side of the river. The proprietor, Alfonso, is a goblin who is known for a filthy mouth and a habit of keeping his pistol better polished than his drinking glasses.
