Founding

Prompted by the Patient Zero initiative, Interpol and other world scientific and health organizations set out to analyze the reported DRIVE events.

After the identification and detention of 'Patient Zero', the European Public Health Organization searched for any similar cases and, to their surprise, found over three dozen similar, if unconfirmed, reports of similar events. Accordingly the COLDSCOPE initiative is funded and given a mandate to investigate these reports, involving mysterious 'transformations' and identify the culprit of this apparent mass hallucination. Widespread testing of water supply, grains, ground toxins, etc fails to reveal much of note. Analysis of event patterns reveals only that all the incidents centered around young women, 40% of whom had a history of homosexual relations. Permission is requested to begin more invasive exams.
