Bastion

Backstory

Bastian grew up in an orphanage and ran away when he was 16 leaving his best friend Keenan behind for a life of adventure. Joined a pirate crew and quickly grew in the ranks. Given his good looks, he was often a flirtatious distraction. He fell in love with the young captain Ashera. By the time he’s 22, he’s become an integral part of the crew and quickly becomes Ashera’s right-hand man after she falls in love with him. Unfortunately, this is when the ship sinks leaving Bastian the lone survivor. For the next few years, he moves north trying to figure out what to do with himself. First, he almost joins a monastery, before he moves west and finds a painter to apprentice for. He apprentices for three years before he decides it’s time to move on and falls back into a life of crime in the West. Unbeknownst to him Ashera is haunting him.

• Keenan: Bastian’s ex-best friend, refused to run away with Bastion when he ran away, was a very nervous person and never wanted to get into the trouble Bastion would drag him into.
