Elravian Empire
The Elravian Empire was once the dominant power in the galaxy, a monarchy lasting tens of thousands of years. The Empire, ruled over by the royal family, conquered thousands of worlds from its seat on the planet Elravia. The Empire's army, each member able to channel an elemental force, were the undisputed masters of combat. Subjugated worlds fed the ongoing war machine, fueling unceasing conquest and expansion.
The height of the Empire came with the recruitment of Arial Vaharic into the Royal Guards, roughly twenty-seven thousand years before the modern era. Vaharic had the unique ability to channel the element of ether, the lifeforce of all creatures. Using her imperial Lotus, Arial defeated the enemies of the Empire by draining their energy, herself gaining thousands of extra years of life.
Vaharic faithfully served the Empire for seven-thousand years, before a form of mental illness took hold. She disappeared, her sudden departure upending the balance of power. The Royal Family was assassinated shortly after, with no apparent survivors. In the turmoil that followed, native Elravians exiled from their home world and thrown out of the colonies. While smaller fiefdoms would continue on as self-proclaimed successor states, the Empire was doomed. Within a thousand years, the name Elravian would be almost unknown outside of academia, the Elravian decedents absorbed into the other civilizations of the galaxy.
