Guardians - Precursor

In the ancient days, the Guardians were the most elite of the Precursor civilization's warriors, protectors from a variety of dire threats. Over centuries, new members would receive a variety of upgrades: genetic enhancements, cybernetic implants, and even full robotic replicant bodies. They fielded the finest technology and weapons the Precursors could muster, and kept order across the galaxy.
But, despite their skill and tenacity, a series of calamities struck most of the Guardians down, before finally claiming the entire Precursor society. The military order largely went extinct, along with the civilization.
The Guardians of the Veil take their name from this ancient military order.
