Rejectonite
Physicists once believed that, past the event horizon of a black hole, nothing - not even light - could escape. Turns out, that wasn't entirely true.
Several celestial objects have been known to exit black holes, but the most prominent is a substance facetiously named "rejectonite."
A form of exotic matter, rejectonite is emitted from every known black hole, but with slight variations in its radiographic signature. Along with bizarre physical properties - rejectonite actually ignores gravity, and boils at room temperature - samples allow for a sophisticated astronavigation unit to hone in on a vessel's exact location relative to its originating black hole, based on that specific signature. Thus, Rejectonite harvested by horizon skimmers from the black hole at the galactic center, holds the key to interstellar travel.
